I sort of feel stupid for asking about this, but is Creatures Caves an actural, downloadable game? I have gone on a quest to find a game that was around 2003 and maybe 2006. And the game was sort of like this, I'm sorry if I found the wrong game, but this is a game that I would like to play, so if you do know where I could buy/ download it from, could you tell me? Thanks in advance :)

I'm just going to ramble, so sorry for the length!

Creatures Caves isn't a game, but it is a fan site of a wonderful game. The game series is called Creatures and there's been about three games in the main series, with a new one being developed by a different company. One of the latest games in the series is called Docking Station, and it's actually free to download. Be sure to download the offline patch on that page though. There used to be an online part to the game where you could send Creatures to other people, but it hasn't worked in years. There's a fan project that's slowly being worked on that will hopefully bring it back though!

The games are still available online. The first two games can be bought here. The third game, and Docking Station, can be bought here. I'd recommend buying them from Gog before you buy them from somewhere else. The one's from Gog are tweaked to run on modern systems. Both games are very cheap as well, which is always a plus.

A good game to start with would be either Creatures 1 or Docking Station. Creatures 1 is better if you like raising Creatures by hand and nurturing them. It's also the simplest game. Two good video to get you started would be this one here to get you used to the interface. and this one for raising your Norns

Docking Station is a slightly simpler version of Creatures 3, and it's the one I started with. The Norns in it can take care of themselves for the most part and it's more like a "fishbowl." There isn't really a newbie friendly video for DS, as far as I know.

Thanks! I've talked to my sister and tried to get DS, and thoguht it wouldn't work on my computer. But now you solved two of my problems. I was willing to go and buy a old system and try to get creatures then. Thank you two again :3 ~Sends you virtual cupcakes~

It's nice to see new people get into the games. I hope they come back to learn more stuff and be a member of the community! The games are a lot more fun when you have other people to talk and share with.

Hello, Zelila! If Creatures Caves was a actual game then, well, I think that'd be a little bit epic! Still, we have many cool website features on offer! ;)

You'll find us to be a helpful and welcoming community, so ask away if you have more questions. I hope you enjoy getting stuck into the Creatures games, you should be in for a real treat! :)
