Zander fish overpopulation

I'm currently running an aquatic world, and I've taken a bunch of Zander fish from Past Seas and dumped them in all the other metarooms. Trouble is, now I'm overrun with them and I don't know how to get rid of them. Is there some sort of critter I can add that will eat them? What do I do?

Are they edible? If you're open to the idea, I think Pearlmaids can eat critters and might help clear up the problem. If you have C3 installed, I think some of the aquarium life might eat them, too.

The orthocone and tube anemone in Past Seas both eat the zander fish. If you take some of them and move them around too they should help keep the population down (note that you'll need at least two orthocones since they need a mate to breed). Alternatively, if you don't mind getting rid of them all you could type this into the CAOs command line when the hand's in a metaroom you want to clean out:
targ pntr setv va00 gmap posx posy enum 2 15 18870 doif gmap posx posy = va00 kill targ endi next

I should update Past Seas again at some point. Compared to some of my recent stuff it's a little on the sloppy side.

Unfortunately, the critters from the C3 aquatic terrarium are rigged to eat solely other things from the aquatic terrarium and will not touch most third party critters/seeds/etc.

I've had problems with past seas critters before actually, where they overpopulated their own metaroom so badly that it was lagging my game to the point I had to kill the metaroom and abandon the save even.

But I do know that pirañas will eat just about anything and I do actually use them for aquatic biome control sometimes, to eat away at the numbers of overpopulating species!
