16 bit won't perform on my 64 bit comp?

So I've recently gotten a new computer, and I am unable to run any of the creatures games aside from Village because they run on 16-bit which is not supported by recent windows models. Is there any way around this? I know 32-bit windows has 16 bit support but that is not the case for my computer.
I really want to play creatures, but I don't know if I can, at this point. Any advice regarding this?
Thanks in advance! :)

Most players with newer computers tend to resort to buying the GOG.com versions of the Creatures titles. They're more compatible with the latest Windows operating systems and are cheap to buy. :) You might want to wait until GOG.com have one of their 70% off sales though, when the games are reduced to $2.99 each!

Have you tried running the compatibility mode on your games? There might be some ideas in this resource which could help you out.

I should note that 16-bit color is a distinct thing from 16-bit execution, and there has been confusion in the past about this. Windows 8 does support 16-bit color. There could still be other issues getting it to work though, even if the big problem is 16-bit color.

This is accurate. Creatures is complaining about your colour space, which has nothing to do with which version of Windows you have. As such, you simply need to head into your monitor setting and change the colour to 16-bit and then they should work. C1 seems to work for me with no changes, C2 changes it automatically for me (with a dialogue box) and c3 only needs to be changed in windowed mode.

Hope you get it working!
