Hello again..
soo I'm having some fun with creating Sprites for a Norn Breed (in C3/DS) and they all worked just fine.. except for the head.
When I copy the file into the folder and open the game with a norn in it using it I get the error message:
"Der Speicherplatz ist voll - bitte starten sie das System neu, geben sie Speicherplatz auf ihrer Festplatte frei, und starten sie Creatures 3 neu"
---
Translation: "Memory space is full - please reboot the system, make space on your hard drive and restart Creatures 3"
I get it two times and the game crashes without loading. I have plenty of free space on my PC..
Edit: I managed to get the second error message again, that appears sometimes instead of the first:
(Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library)
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I also can't imagine what's wrong with the file. It's an ordinary .c16 with 192 pictures and it's file size isn't bigger than others. I tried to recreate it a few times from the .bmp files using different methods but it's the same every time.
All other sprites I made the same way work just fine...
If anyone is interested, here's the file: Link

Problem solved!
After a day full of frustration I found the right hint on this website: Link
It states that non - black backgrounds crash the game. I thought I was veeery careful not to do anything to the transparent background but it seems a few head pictures slipped my preperations.
After turning them back black all worked just fine! |

That's all it was? Seriously? That's great that it was such a simple fix. I remember I tried all kinds of things with the Dustdevil Grendels to no avail.
I might have to take another look at the Dustdevil heads now, just to see if that's what was happening with them...
