I had the same issue when I installed DS yesterday, Fortunecookie. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and declined the upgrade offer. And now whenever I start DS it asks me to upgrade and I just click "no". Hopefully someone can offer us an easier solution. ![:\](/images/smilies/confused.gif ":\") - Rascii |

The best idea, I think, is simply ignore any messages about updates (there isn't any, obviously) and change your shortcuts so they bypass the update check. To do this, right-click on your desktop shortcut/main menu link/whatever and select "properties." Underneath "target," you'll see a file path - it should read something along the lines of "X Program Files\Docking Station\InstallBlast.exe." Change "InstallBlast.exe" to "engine.exe" (without quotations, of course). Risen Angel's Creatures Blog |

The reason there are no updates is that the Gameware folks (is it still Gameware?) are no longer doing anything to maintain DS. The server has been cutting in and out, too. By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do. |
