Where did my ecology go wrong?

Pic

I've used devthing and the ingame CAOS bar to try to get rid of these things, but nothing helps! So far the only thing that fixes this is using the agent pauser.

First off, how do I mass remove these things without kill hots-ing each individual?

Secondly, how do I alter my ecology to make sure this doesn't happen again? Do trappers eat mosquitos? /hopes they do

This is really bad. The number of mosquitos my game is generating is actually causing my game to slow down to a point where every two seconds the game pauses for four. Not sure what that means in frame rate, but it's very annoying. At least I know it's not the creatures this time.

I've never seen those before, where are they from? A certain metaroom/agent?

They're the mosquitos that come with C3. Usually they're not this numerous. Also I believe the Rocklice are supposed to eat them.

Edit: Since I got ninja'd a little, I'm going to offer forth a correction to the previous post. This is a proper C3 mosquito, otherwise known as a Mossie fly. The bugs in the pic are Sneits from the Grendel Hideout. Keep reading for how to get rid of the things.

First off, next time don't inject the current version of the Grendel Hideout into a docked world. Thanks to some sloppy coding on the developers' part, the mossie fly eggs got their code rewritten so they produce the sneits from the Grendel Hideout instead. The end result is this.

If you can manage it in that sort of frame rate, you can try navigating to the Grendel Hideout, clicking on a grey hemisphere poking out of the left side of the room, and then clicking on the red button (might take several tries). It'll empty the GH, but hopefully eradicate all the Sneits in the Jungle Terrarium as well.

If that doesn't work...know that the classifier for the Sneits is not 2 14 201, but rather 2 14 10163. Substitute that for the incorrect classifier in the Devthing and input it, and it should work.

This post just reminded me that I need to finish that new version of the GH I was working on, in which this bug amongst others is fixed. .-.

In general, bugs in the Grendel Jungle can be controlled quite well with a combination of TwilightCat's Water Plants and the Woodland Fix Pack by Vampess, but you might find it better to just do a mass exodus from that world and start over.

Thanks GM, I just did the red button thing and all was emptied. Phew.

Oddly, my agent pauser picked up the classifyer as the "incorrect" one, and correctly paused them, but either way enum kill targ next didn't work.

And btw, yes. Trappers eat mosquitos too. I already tried it once. ;)
