The CREATURES CAVES EGGSTRAVAGANZA has finally arrived!
Freshly laid in time for Easter, this eggstraordinary Easter egg patch plant is the joint effort of Laura, Mea, Ghosthande and many other Creatures Community members. Everyone brought their own take with some wonderful and inspired designs, which were then hatched into this final release. Perfect for an Easter egg hunt around the Meso with your Norns! They also come in three delicious flavours: Chocolate, caramel and hard boiled.

To everyone who took part and helped, THANK YOU! You all have a special mention in the in-game Agent Help. If anybody has been missed, please let Laura know so they can receive the proper credit. See the included Readme file for more information and the full agent credits. |

Awesome! Those eggs look beautiful (and delicious...). How many different eggs are in the final product?

*Counts* 569. So yeah, there's plenty of different eggs to look at and watch out for. |

569! Wow, that's a lot! And you were afraid at first you wouldn't even get 100, lol.

I am so relieved to hear that, Malkin. I can't believe that I forgot about the dreaded Rainbow Spew until the last minute. Thank you for coming to the rescue!
And haha I know, Evolnemesis! Some people went a bit 'eggtreme' with their egg decorating, and I'm really glad they did. I love the fact that you can just sit and watch them grow for ages and still keep seeing different designs. Everyone did an awesome job! I can't wait to see some in-game screenshots *hint hint*. |

I should have a special Easter update about my C3/DS Geat world tomorrow. I figured they might possibly enjoy the Eggstravaganza patch... But they've pretty much become OBSESSED with it. It's also completely coincidental, but they also decided that seeing a bunch of edible eggs meant that they needed to suddenly mass produce their own army of baby Geats. Ha ha! Screenshots don't do it the full justice: It's so neat to see these in-game. Very well thought out, too: These have a full life cycle and aren't just randomly appearing eggs that disappear in one bite!

Wow, this is so cool!! Great job everyone! Laura congrats on the code, and reuniting all of the sprites
Jesus, 569 is a lot of eggs!! Eggstraordinay
Also, I didn't know that they could decay. The first one I got was a Discover Albia one , and I went collecting some others, and putting them in the Norn Meso pan, and I went back to the Biodome to collect more, and by the time I got back to the Meso, the Discover Albia one had disappeared and I was like "Whaat?" (I didn't have any creature outside the biodome) but then I noticed some more rotting up
Pretty cool though, that way it prevents clogging up the world with eggs

It must've been an eggstremely eggsacting job to sort all those sprites out! It's a fabulous agent, my creatures seem to want to eat eggs now rather than do anything else! XD |

Haha... Can you imagine what it would be like with all those eggs and no rotting cycle? Our creatures would end up drowning under the sheer quantity! I'm glad you guys are having fun! I like booting up Docking Station now, just to inject a large patch of them and see how many different eggs will grow. It's oddly relaxing, like watching a fish tank.
And Nutter, I know right? You won't believe how long it took me to make the C16 file. Most of the 581 sprites needed black backgrounds and had to be converted to 24-bit Bitmap format. Still, it was very much worth it; a real labour of love. I hope it can be enjoyed all year round, not just at Easter! |

Maybe we should do something like this for the ccsf?

I'm thinking of making an agent for the CCSF myself, and maybe showcasing the CFFs with a full pack of all the breeds if they turn out well and are done by then. Are the dates decided on yet?
The agent is something I've been thinking about and messing with for a while that has a TON of different possibilities... it should end up being pretty helpful, as well as having several fun uses and features too (I keep coming up with more...)

We could start a new topic for any CCSF 2014 project ideas, but let's not derail this one by going off-topic, please. I see the notifications on the Updates feed and think it's people either posting bug reports or feedback. |
