Is there a way I could open/unpack an agent file to see how it's written? Also, is there still a place I can get the CAOS tool? the link seems to be broken...? Thanks! |

Jagent can pack and unpack agents, and it also comes with a simple alternative to the official CL sprite editor.
You need Java though, which isn't always a given.

Thanks! I have java and I downloaded it. There are so many files, though; how do I install them? (Sorry, I'm lost) |

In theory, unzipping the file should be all it takes. Execute the Monk file for the agent compiler/decompiler program, and execute Edos for the spritebuilder. The file actually called Jagent is more of an internal core library organizer....... thingamabob.

I would recommend you install a browser extension that helps you access the Internet Archive's version of webpages, such as Wayback Machine for Chrome. When a website fails to load, a convienient popup will appear and give you the option of going to see if there are any archived versions of it. That way, very few broken weblinks will defeat you.

A browser extension, wish I'd thought of that sooner. |

I swear these kinds of browser extensions have changed my CC life, they make it so much easier to follow dead links. 🙂
