When creating new base genomes, is it better to start from the default genomes or work from user made genomes? I know I've seen both happen, but I'd like to know what is usually preferred.

If there have been major advances made to the genomes, such as fixing important bugs (canny, CFE) then you should probably start with community made genomes as a base.

Okay, thanks Dragoler! Forgot to consider the whole buggy side of things, so yeah, community made genomes sound like the best starting point

Make sure to tell people which genome you used as a base - it can be important when crossbreeding!

Will do, yluklun! Am most likely going with CFF
