Hey guys, I have gathered a lot of ideas and would really like to turn them into good looking creatures and a proper metaroom for C3DS!

I will make a list of the ideas which resolves around the new nornbreed I have posted in the art gallery of Creatures Caves ^-^

First of the Crystal norns: As the name indicates they will have crystals and bright markings on various body parts, the male has ebony black hair and azure highlights, while the female has ivory hair with a few curls and red markings. The skin has a stone texture.
So far to the appearance, let's go to the genetic part; The crystal norns are aging slowly and are a generally lazy breed, a bit like the bondi norns ;) However the specialty is, that these norns are a bit dependent on the temperature which surrounds them. Much like trolls ( In the discworld-novels by Sir Terry Pratchett) they will work better with cooler temperatures, the hotter it gets the more immobile they will be, maybe it will even change their agening circle if this one is possible.
I even have the idea that there are some subspecies of the Crystal norns ( like the various types of sprite norns, plant norns, etc) and have a different genetic built. Based on the colours of their crystals I thought about Gold, Platin, Malachite, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Diamond,Obsidian, ...., etc. For example Emerald ones will prefer to live with more critters, while Sapphire norns like aquatic life a bit better.
Also I had the thought that maybe this type of norns actually likes heavy metals like the previously mentioned trolls in the Discworld-Novels.

Now to the metaroom :D
I am not 100% sure yet how the metaroom will look like.
The simpler concept would be a crystal cave with various parts, for example one aspect would be different coloured and looking caves like lava cave, ice cave, tropical cave, etc.

On the other hand is my more complex concept which would include the simple crystal caves and a steampunk-victorian setting.
To picture it I would describe it with this way:
On the top you got a abandoned house in victorian style with a lab, a greenhouse, a library, kitchen, etc. Near to the house would be a landfill with tons of metal waste and maybe some robotic critters ( sounds like a contradiction, I know :D), operated by steam machines.
In the cellar of the house is a deep cave with crystals as I previously mentioned the different subtypes of it and an underground lake.

My last idea would be Axolotl ettins that dwell in this underground lake. The concept art of a axolotl norn is visible in the creaturescaves art gallery. They will go through a metamorphosis in their life and change a lot their appearance and genetic behavior.

I kindly ask you to give me feedback based on my ideas, please \^O^/

Have you thought about making parts of the norns transparent? To be honest I'm not sure if that's completely possible, or is it?

Do you mean that the body itself looks like a crystal and is transparent? I think that is actually possible, the Shadow norns or the ghost norns are transparent breeds. I thought about the crystal itself being transparent, however including your idea would also look well with a rather transparent body and the shining bright markings. ^-^
I sadly can't find neither of these norn breed on here, I think I have them on my old pc at my parents place. You can find the transparent shadow norns here under S http://www.creatures.de/c3breedlist4.htm#Buchstabe S
I can't find the sad looking ghost norns with a C2 head anywhere ;-; sorry

(My inspiration for the bright markings is based on the ancient king stones in the disney movie atlantis

Perhaps base them off of the True Warmbloods? They already can notice external environmental temperature. You'd just have to change hotness to make them slow down rather than get heatstroke.

Oh I haven't tried the TWB yet, but this actually sounds like a good idea and would make things easier. Are there any known problems with TWB mixing with other types like CFF?

It isn't recommended, their thermoregulatory system is integrated throughout their genome and is a vital body system. Inheriting only parts of it can be dangerous, but they aren't completely incompatible.
Information can be found here if you need it.
