Hi all,
Just looking for a few pointers on how to add music to a metaroom that otherwise has none, like Veridia. I've been playing in there and I noticed that the birth, death, and near death music doesn't stop until I visit another room and come back, and there's otherwise no default music in there. Is there a way to add music to it? For example, I'd like to add the Norn Terrarium music to Veridia, but I don't have the know-how.

If you're just asking how to make one metaroom's music play in another, then it's something simple enough to do with the CAOs command line.
Move the hand into the room you wish to change the music of, open up the CAOs command line, and type:
targ pntr mmsc posx posy "filename.mng\\TrackName" |
Where "filename" is the name of the .mng file and "TrackName" is the name of the track.
For example:
targ pntr mmsc posx posy "main.mng\\vivariumgarden" |
would make the music that plays in the Norn Terrarium garden play in whatever metaroom the hand is in.
As a final note, .mng files each contain multiple tracks. MNGPlayer is the best way to get the names of the tracks; however, there is a good chance that you won't be able to get it to install (I know I can't). In that case, there's an alternate route you can take:
1. In-game, turn on the debug map ("dmap 1" in the CAOS Command Line or "dmap" if using the Magic Words Room Edits).
2. Go to the metaroom where the music you want normally plays, and from there scroll around until the music you want starts playing (most official metarooms have different tracks for different parts of a metaroom).
3. Move the hand into a room (rectangular area with yellow lines, if you turned the debug map on).
4. Open up the CAOS Command Line and type:
targ pntr outs rmsc posx posy |
5. If the above code doesn't return anything, repeat step 4 with a different room until you get something in the style of "filename.mng\\TrackName."
6. The name returned in the previous step should be the track you want. Plug that name into the code that sets the music, and your desired music should start playing. If it doesn't, you'll need to repeat step 4 until you do find the music you want.
Sorry about the wordiness there, but I hope it helps.
