Who wants to make a metaroom? 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | |

Why does it need a bird critter? They're very difficult to code. If you really want a critter do a small, land-based one with very, very simple movement. Hopping, for example.
I would also request that you avoid using a Chickadee -- I know someone with a project that's been in the works forever in which chickadees are one of the primary critters.
I would suggest some kind of arctic hopping mouse; it doesn't have to be a real animal, critters aren't real animals. Make something up! A miniature hopping polar bear/kangaroo combo?
Sleds etc are easy, it's just a vehicle.

Why not just copy off the C3 robin's coding directly and change the sprites it uses?

Who? I never heard of any active CC project which is using chickadees? Sounds cool however.

Because you would have to make a number of changes to the script, and the C3 critters are pretty damn complex. It's not worth the hassle.
I'll leave whose project it is under wraps, if they want to say that's fine, but I don't know if I want to say it for them!

Uh, I'd just like to point out that I am not actually interested in helping out with the project, and as a result am not actually working on it. I've got things of my own to worry about, sorry.
Please ask before stating that I'm working on a project... especially if I've not given any indication that I am.

It doesn't have to be just sam999, silvak & malkin who decide the room layout, it can be anyone who was helping with the layout of the room. I'd say we should probably use this as our most up-to-date example of concept art although the pond in the far left should be removed.
As for having it done in that artstyle, thanks for the offer, but to tell the truth I don't think it fits the steampunky look of this room. We should probably vote on it. |

Good point Malkin. We had some discussion about it before, but personally and since it won in the poll it looks like it's going to be a part of the room. I agreed with the pond. So, I just PMed mea. We have our room background.... |

Sorry for the long absence! My life as been crazy lately and getting back to a normal routine has been tough, so creatures has taken the furthest back seat before being dragged behind by it's ankles.
So mea is working on the background based off concept 0.3? Or did I miss something in translation??

Yeah, I'll be working on a basic room background using the outline that sam999 sent me, & as far as I know it is based off of the 0.3 version. The background will be a very basic one, just the hills, ground, hallways, stuff like that. You will still be able to do plenty of modification adding in pipes, trees & whatever else you want. |

Use this as guide instead..... Chione 0.3+
There were a few points of 0.3 that we had decided not to use, but it's length was really nice. Note that the changes are not to scale, but you should understand them better. A middle layer was added. Made of rough stone as apposed to the lower level which is supposed to be flat cut stone. the cozy area is far right and the garden far left with lockable door. Just in from that is the water tunnel (whether we have them sliding or just have is covered in snow, I like the idea of a fish vendor there). Some of that can be added later, but it might help with styling.
Now to brush up on my Norse/Scandinavian art and architecture.

Yes. I was under the impression it was our most up-to-date version.

Sam, it wasn't the wrong guide as the right one wasn't created yet, which was my bad.
The lower hallways needed to be MUCH flatter than in 0.3 and the location of the cozy spot works better on the right than the left. Little things is all.

Thanks for the updated guide silvak, if you wanted to refine any of the update & add more detail to the guide, you still have time to do that. I haven't started working on the background yet, but if I get a few projects finished tonight, I should be able to start on Chione's background tomorrow night. Otherwise I probably won't get to work on it till Wednesday.

No, it was smoke from the smoke stack.......or at least it should have been. I'll start trying to get some more detailed concepts, but no promises as I have a website I'm trying to design and code.

EDIT: If it wouldn't be too difficult, or take up valuable time, can you email or message me a snap shot of what you have so far? I just want to see how things are fitting together and how to add some of the other features. If it's too much trouble, I can wait.

How about outside the canopy? You know edash's canopy? Theres an arctic area outside the biodome that is only part of the background and is inacessable. |
