Elevator sound-effects?

I'm working on creating the elevators for Bai-Loki. Woo. I'm using the Basic Lift Script from the Creatures Wiki, which is excellent, but doesn't use any sound effects.

Making a two-level elevator with sound is easy, but a 3+ level elevator needs a longer, variable, sound file that can match the distance it is travelling.

The "c1lf.wav" from C1toDS covers an elevator travelling between four levels, and I'm guessing the elevator's script tells it to stop making noise when the elevator stops moving.

I've tried every way that I can think of to make that happen for my elevator but all I've managed to do is break the elevator. How is it done?

The thought strikes that it may be worthwhile to examine Vampess's fix for the C3 lifts as well?

Umm... I don't know. It may have the answer in there somewhere but if it does I don't understand it. I don't understand most of that, actually. :$ I know the C3 lifts beeped when the doors opened/closed, but did they actually make sound while they were in motion?

Listening again, it doesn't seem that they do. :/ It's probably worthwhile to look at a variety of lift scripts anyway so that you can understand lifts better.

I want to. I would probably have dissected the C1toDS elevators by now, but Vista's being a pain lately and won't let me use revelation.exe (or access anything inside a zip file. At all.) And I'm stumped as to where Docking Station keeps its lift scripts.

I took a look at the DS cosfile-names (It does not start, but I still have DS ^^) and maybe it is the file
.../Docking Station/Bootstrap/010 Docking Station/nav lift.cos
I hope that's a help.

Out of curiosity, was I the one who directed you to the Creatures Wiki Basic Lift Script? Just wondering.

I thought I had. I couldn't find the post later on Creaturetopia, though. :D
