I could like to get some help with a new nornbreed. They are named wolehare norns, they have very long hair as you can see, and they get hot easily and not cold. |

Okay, then you can find what you need to make your own norn breed here. It may not be as simple as you may have thought it was...
ps. I haven't played Monster Raannnrrrnnchhdoggy |

There's also some breed tutorials listed in <plug>Malkin's Awesome Tutorials sticky.</plug>
Seeing as this is the Development forum, I'm sure people will be here and around to advise should you get stuck. |

A Genetics Editor, A SpriteBuilder, and perhaps the PRAY.. thing.. Oh what was it called? Anyway you can find it on GameWare's site as well.
Those are some essentials. After reading tutorials, you should also know about Body Data. Body Data is as easy as opening notepad, really. It is quite easy, but a very long process.

The Sprite Builder looks at all the sprites of a norn. If you open up the Sprite Builder, then go to your creatures folder, then your images folder, you'll find a number of files labled stuff like Ao1b or something (don't hold me to it). Open those up and you'll get a sprite. Some files hold baby head sprites, some hold elder leg sprites, so on and so on.
Using the spritebuilder, you can paste images of your norn into it. It's best to paste while looking at another norn's file just so you know it's in the right order. Each norn breed has a great number of different files, as mentioned above, so you'll want to do different ones for the baby head, child head, adult head, and the baby legs, adult legs.... you get the idea.
It takes a long time to make a norn. There are many files involved, especially for the expressions. Good luck!

The longest part is drawing all the dratted sprites DX
What I did with the Balrogs before the originals got erased was copy and paste all the Hebe sprites (or whatever breed you're using as a base) into another folder and rename them all to the correct slot and stuff, then I did the same with the body data. It took ages, but not as long as creating body data from scratch. |

How is it not working?
I'm pretty sure PRAY only comes into use once you've done everything else, anyways, so you can do the genetics and sprites first. I'm sure by the time you're done with the sprites you'll have worked out your PRAY problem.

Genetics is always a good place to go when making your own norn breed.
Sprites are fantastic too, but there arn't a lot of interesting and different genomes that aren't "Breathe underwater," "Live for a long time / forever." And other things like that.
It's nice having some strange variety for some really awesome breeding challanges.
Coupled with a nice image, what else can go wrong?
I really can't think of any better links than have been provided. So just be persistant when you make your breed. |

You don't need to make new body data if the norn is of normal norn proportions. If, say, the norn's arm was attached to its feet, you would need new body data.
You just copy over the files of a normal norn, rename them, then paste your files over the original norn's files.
