Hello! I bought Creatures 1 and 2 about three years ago and I had a really good time with those games. Recently I tried to install them on my Windows Vista-fied laptop, and they couldn't work, so I bought Creatures Exodus. This looks like a nice site! (: |

Hello, I'm Dinofan137. I am very happy to see that the international community about Creatures is still alive (like GladOS in Portal) ! I'm a Creatures player since the first game, which is my favorit episode. I come on this forum because I'm French (from Metz) and the French Creatures' Community is dying. Since a few days, the forum of the main french site, Creaturesfrance, was closed. We are trying to launch another forum, but we are actually only 10 members... It will be a quite difficult... I had imagine that the all Creatures community are died, but it's not true, and I'm very happy to see that! I'm proud to be on this forum ! PS : so, I'm French and my English may be a quite wrong... Sorry ^^ . |

Hello all, Just registered on this forums when i noticed there are still people alive here Bin searchin the internet for the past week trying to find a Creatures community that had not died down yet. I've bin playing Creatures for...well as long as i can remember realy. For the past couple years it was on and off when i felt like it, Right now i've started playing C3/DS again. Hi everyone! My name is Megan and I'm a member of the Creaturetopia forum as well (same username). I have been playing Creatures (mostly C2) since I was 10 (I'm 20 now). Last summer I bought Exodus and Albian Years so I've recently started playing C1 and C3/DS as well. I would also like to thank everyone who participated in the CCSF this year. Hopefully I'll have a chance to do something for it next year. |

Sorry, I didn't post here first. (I had to respond to the Creatures saddest death thread) Anyway... I'm an aging quadracial mad-woman in Colorado. I initially discovered Creatures at a friend's house in the late 90's, but have been playing less than a month. I've been enjoying this marvelous distraction so much that I'm not even that psyched about Sims 3. (That's saying ALOT, when a new Sims ANYTHING comes out I act like an 11 year old with tickets to her fave boy band) If anyone here was friends with the great Steerpike... you have my condolences. When I discovered the community was active he was someone I hoped to look up. Alas, I ran across the tribute pages and was heartbroken to see it would never happen. I had the blessed opportunity to chat with this gentleman once in 97. Anyone who sees his COBs or his web design can see a great talent was lost. Any who've chatted with him knows he was funny, brilliant, and warm. |

Hey peoples! Should probably have posted here a few days ago. (: I'd been having a mad craving to play Creatures recently, which I haven't played in years. I went looking for my discs -- and they were GONE! Stolen by ettins, I swear. And stashed in some desert terrarium far, far away .... Well, I just got the good news that my copy of Exodus has shipped from Amazon, so I should be back to playing with the cute little fuzzies soon enough. Yay! I'm excited. Hello! I didn't realize this particular thread existed, so I've been on the site about a week, but its never too late to introduce yourself, right? I was a fan of c2 when I was younger, but when it quit working on my computer I stopped playing. About a month ago I started searching the web on a whim to see if the game still existed, and, sure enough, I found DS! I absolutely love being able to play again, and it is so much more fun now than when I was younger. Many thanks to everyone who creates metarooms: I wouldn't survive in the tiny DS world without your hard work! I particularly like Astro norns, and the Banana and Horse norns from C1. Greeting, Moderator Laura. Guess what, I have started "Project: Felinorn". Here's what I'm going to do to make this project a success: Phase 1) Hire the best genetic developers and sprite builders Phase 2) Work with developers to make Felinorn genome Phase 3) Work with sprite builders to make Felinorn sprites (ideas come first) Phase 4) Publicize Felinorn breed to those willing to beta test and... Phase 5) Use beta testers' feedback to make changes before publicizing Felinorn breed to whole community. This project is something I can watch over only, because I am inexperienced in both sprite building and genome making. If you do not know what I mean in terms of what I expect of the Norn breed, go to the Albia 2000 forums and find "A New Kind of Norn" in the Creatures General Category. Creatures, and Civilization? I'll pay good money to have Norns form Nations and Cultures! |

My main genetic breed is the bat norns and I'm the webmistress of Ds village. I love ettins, grendels and norns equally. I've been on creatures since before I was in school and have loved it since. Hi. I'm Axel. I've been a Creatures fan since 1997. I posted some history in the "How did you join the CC?" thread. I'm a big fan of older games, partially because I often have fond memories of playing them as a kid, and partially because I've been near the poverty line my entire life, so I'm used to making due with equipment that can't run newer games. I think it's great that people still play these games; they were such a big step forward technologically that it'd be a shame for them to be forgotten. Unfortunately, I don't play them all the time, just on and off. I used to be the micromanagerial type with my Creatures, but now I prefer to hatch a few and see what happens with little to no interference on my part. |

Welcome back to the community Axel! When I used to play Creatures I was the same - I found it more interesting to just watch what my Norns got up to and see how they coped (or in some cases, didn't!) with life rather than interfere. I never used to find it boring because they'd get up to so many things.Anyway, good to have you here. |
