We were all surprised one of these hadn't been made yet, but here it is, finally!
Use this thread to suggest new features and report bugs with existing ones.
Every bug you report will help the site run a little more smoothly and suggested features could become part of the site in the future, so don't be shy.
When reporting a bug, make sure to include details like what you were doing at the time the bug occurred, whether you were on a desktop or mobile and if possible, include a screenshot.
When suggesting features, please include as many details as possible.

You can view and (I believe you can but I havn't tried) adopt creaturelinks before they're approved if you have the address for them.
You can get the address by going to their parent, then clicking on their name in offspring. |

As suggested before: more visible and more easily accessible polls and a button to mark all posts in a single sub-forum (General, Help, Dev and so on) as read.

This forum really needs a commands button. So when you press it, it puts the command in the reply for you and you don't have to type them out every time. I know them by heart anymore, but it would make linking things so much easier.
Edit: Bullet points would also be nice.

Sometimes when I'm browsing in the cobs section, some of the urls will truncate to include the %A7 symbol, (an S with a circle in the middle of it) for example: this link (hover over it to see the symbol in the url, I'm using Rascii's link from the last news post, trying to search for Halloween items in the cobs section).

Speaking of scoops, they can't be sold in the creatchi mart, either.

We really need a Creatures pack option in the adoption downloads.

You know what would be cool? If you could "subscribe" a topic as in other forums. Some forums do it so that even if the topic is not posted by you, you can subscribe it, so you see updates on it anyways. An example would be if I subscribed to a recent post, I would see updates to it as if it was my own post.
This feature should not need to be available for all kinds of post (download, bibble, etc) but for good old forum posts it definitely would make sense.

I've noticed that the search function is almost useless for longer forum threads, since clicking on the topic takes you to the first page of the thread and you still have to hunt for the specific post. |

Not a bug, just wanted to add that the list of things broken by the PHP5 move can be found here in the Resources section.
Umm, I do wish creatchi's needs wouldn't drop so quickly after hatching. Every time I've had an egg and left it alone some hours to hatch, when I come back its needs have dropped to where it already needs a dose of medicine. Am I the only one with that problem? |

Would it be more intuitive to swap the speech balloon Private Message icon for a letter-style Private Message icon?

I have a few Creatchi-related suggestions/questions. Posting them here since they don't really relate to the revamp.
Is it possible to keep the Creatchi smiley and Coinchi link visible wherever you go? If I go to some parts of the site, such as the Forum or MyCaves sections, they no longer appear. I'm not sure if it was designed that way intentionally or if I've found a bug... since they show up in all the other sections I've tried. It is really convenient to just be able to click the smiley and view your Creatchi from wherever you are, or even just to be able to see how they're doing.
Also, would it be possible to make that area a little more visible, too? Maybe put a blue box behind them, and/or put the Creatchi's name to the left of the smiley? I feel like, with so much text above them, it's easy for the eye to just skip over them.
Last suggestion: could there be a link to the Official Creatchi Care Guide in the "Creatchi Hatched" PM, or somewhere similar? I know it would be redundant... but sometimes redundancy helps, especially for new members who may not be familiar with the site's layout yet. Directing them to it in the PM might encourage them to check it out.
[edit] Also, the crooked mouth smiley (the one in my latest bibble) seems to be broken? If I try to write it, the slash is removed so all that's left is the ":".

Deleting all creatchi messages only deletes those sent by the creatchi message bot, and not those that were automatically sent under a person's account (like gifts for example).

That's because it falls to the user to delete them now. The system changed:Rascii wrote: Another small Creatchi update: when you send someone a creatchi item now, it sends a PM to the other user which comes from you rather than the automated Creatchi bot. This way people can easily send a reply message to the user. That goes for socialization and breed requests too. |

I hate to sound like a party pooper, and I think Rascii has done a superb job with Creatures Caves, but I honestly think some aspects of the website, such as the bibbles, are making the website seem more like a social network than an actual creatures website. I'm guilty of this myself, as I've often used bibbles to talk about personal stuff, but I honestly feel the bibbles are being used as a discussion more than the actual forums, which while not that bad in itself, could mean non-members visiting the website might not be able to find solutions to any problems they are having with their game.
Again, this is just my own opinion. I just feel nostalgic for when the forums were a lot busier. I just think forums should be used more often as a place of discussion when it comes to the games, rather than bibbles. |

It happens often enough that someone says "when you have a problem with this, why not make a forum post about it?", so I don't really see an issue in this.
Also, bump for better visibility for polls

I like the Bibbles. It makes it feel more like a community than a forum and allows us to get to know other members without it bleeding into the forums, where the game is discussed.

The trouble is, the bibble feature was designed to be our take on Twitter; by nature it's always going to be sociable and free-flowing. It would also be out of the question for the staff to try and dictate anything different. I don't think telling other users where they can and cannot express themselves would go down all too well. |

Things change and adapt as time goes on in order to attract new members and give older ones something a bit different. From what I can see from a decade of lurking, the forums are still pretty active and Bibble doesn't seem to have hindered that. If you dislike it, it isn't really something that you have to use
Would the forum still be active without it? Probably. It's a nice feature though and not one that everyone has to use if they don't wish to!

Sorting by popularity doesn't work in the gallery for me. It just snaps back to sorting by date posted. |

Certain posts will have "ghost likes", which are likes which do not add to the total number of likes on the post, and were made at a time before the post was even made.
Here's an example, as you can see the bibble only has 1 like, but if you click on that 1 to see who has liked the bibble, you'll see that the post seems to have 2 likes and someone seems to have liked it in 2013, despite being a 2016 post.
I was on desktop every time I encountered this. |

Another recent bibble of mine has one of those Dr Who likes as well.
I know it is weird that the two bibbles are both by me, but I ensure you that I did nothing to actually cause this. They just popped up one day. I also saw these on posts of other people, though I don't have a direct example ready.
Just click on the little like counter to bring up the list of people who liked it and you'll eventually find more.
