General Forum Tarilithina's Forum Feral Run   1 | 2 Tarilithina        9/29/2013 So, yesterday I finally wrote another blog post. Said post is about a feral run I'm going to be doing. This run is like Nutter's wolfling runs, but it is a bit different. People can choose a breed, a gender, a name and a location for a norn, and once 36 creatures are chosen, the run will start. Then, the run goes on for 3 generations, and then the six best survivors will be chosen and go on to the next part, where 30 more creatures will be chosen and the run will go for another 3 generations, at which point ten survivors will be chosen and will live in an area with weeds, stingers, and not a lot of food. The single best survivor here is the winner, who wins a genegineered creature with any traits they want, provided I can actually create said traits. I will also post a folder of the genomes for every creature in the run up for download. To participate in the run, reply to this post, or to the blog post, with a breed, gender, name, and location for up to 4 creatures that you want to have in the run. Here is the list of breeds I am using: If there is an M or an F next to a certain breed, it means that that is the only available gender. The list of breeds and the list of closed rooms have been reset, and norns may now be picked for the second part. The number of norns allowed per person has been changed to four, instead of three. Tahvora will start in C12DS, next to the computer. Kahsua will start in the Meso in the heating pan. Fahru will start on the lowest level of the jungle. KittyTikara, are you sure you want your Stinger to be named Anai? I'm only using the Rikori, as I'm hoping to not have sliders or stillborns. Anai will be in the Norn Terrarium, above the door to the Bridge. Quake will be in the Desert Nursery. Kappsune, your Apple Norn will be in the Norn Terrarium on the hill above the Learning Room. I've never actually used the Stinger Norns before, and when I was looking at their readme I thought that the differences would probably cause a few problems, especially if mixing them with a bunch of varied norns like the ones I'm using now. I like to be on the cautious side about things like this, especially when it comes to a feral run. Also, as you said, the breeding problems wouldn't work well either. Anyway, the name is confirmed. The Imperial Fly norn is on the top level of the jungle tree in C12DS. The Magma norn is in the Desert next to the volcano. The Flora is in the Norn Terrarium, right next to the door to the Jungle. The Bondi is in the Aquarium, near the door. Also, if you really want a Fallow, you can join the second part, too, as long as there's enough room. I will choose place wif you personally.   Tarilithina     9/30/2013 Okay, you are set up. The Meso is now closed, due to having 5 norns there and no one in the Comms Room. Eprillios, your male ChiChi has been moved out of the Containment Chamber. I originally put him there because it would suit him, because ChiChis are known to use the warp a lot, but while going through the locations with Panther, I realized that he wouldn't be able to hatch while in the Chamber. Hi!   Tarilithina     10/2/2013 Not a lot of norns have been chosen lately, so I'm considering allowing 4 norns per person instead of 3, which will hopefully make up for it. However, this might just result in a lot more norns than can be used, and all the remaining slots might get used up, leaving someone disappointed, so I'm not sure. I've posted a poll about it here, so please tell me what you think! And if you're having trouble filling slots, you can put me down for a male butterfly called Abnormal Load in the norn terrarium.   Tarilithina     10/3/2013  1 You guys are set (besides Panther, who has not yet chosen a location). Dazavor is in the Comms room, presumably learning to take over the control panel and rule over the other creatures. Cicely has lots of opportunities, since she's right between the doors to all the different terrariums. Popaea has been chosen to take care of the lone potted Justanut bush in the desert. Abnormal Load may have a little hardship at first, since he'll have to figure out how Elevines work before he can get to the flowers in the Norn Terrarium. You can put her anywhere, but the Medical Bay is preferred. Oh, and since Panther, instead of actually picking a location for Nightwing, like she said she would, has chosen to walk away without a word in the middle of me describing the rooms, and then, instead of telling me whether or not she actually wanted to participate, just tell me to pick something random, Nightwing gets to sit on the very right hand side of the Jungle, right next to the piranha pool. A quiet area to start out in, but she's near bountiful food. Gamzee is in the Learning Room, where TACT's right colors will match his fur. Also, Panther is no longer in this part of the run. Her norns have been removed, and her slots are open. Hi!   KittyTikara     10/6/2013 If I haven't already chosen my forth Norn(I don't think I have?), can it be a male Stinger Norn named Ikoii? You can place in anywhere you want. The name is actually from another Stinger Norn type that I could never get to work right. They were aquatic, and the name has Koi in it... Punny? Ik zwaai met mijn handen en mijn handen zwaaien terug.   Tarilithina     10/6/2013 Fieval is in the Jungle, since it only one other norn is there. Serengeti is in the Desert, which should suit her. Lennmeister, the first part is full now, but if you want, Twinkle can be in the second part of the run. Now that the slots are full, the run can start! Expect an update soon! Edit: Okay, maybe not "soon." I underestimated the time it would take to go around and enter every norn's genome (shortened) into a spreadsheet, and make sure that the ones with specified names were named correctly. Having the Advanced Autosaver on doesn't help either. Edit 2: The run has been held up slightly. Eprillios asked for a female Bondi, but I accidentally placed a male egg.
