Hello everybody!! I have a doubt.
I was thinking, if a norn can keep the information from its parents through generations, for example; a norn (male or female) has a zebra head, and another norn has a bengal norn. They breed, and have a baby norn with a zebra head. Can any of the children of this last norn have a head of a bengal, provided he doesn't breed with a norn with a bengal head?
Also, can the breed-specific sprites change, for example, a norn having only a treehugger body(and the rest anything), and then he as a baby with only a treehugger head (and the rest anything).
Or maybe none of this can happen because they are haploid?
I appreciate your help!

You're right, the haploid genes make a lot of this stuff limited.
Since they don't have recesive genes, no a child cannot be born with a bengal head unless one of the parents has a bengal head (or there's a very strange and somewhat rare mutation).
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking with the treehugger example, but again I'm pretty sure the answer is no, unless there's a mutation in the appearance genes, in which case you could just as easily end up with a Grendel head (that was weird the first time it happened). |
