This is a new version of the Wood Norn that gives the Wood Norns brighter colors. By default the egg agent installs a CFE genome, but there are 2017 genomes included in the zip file as well. Wood Norns remain energetic Creatures that enjoy playing with critters and bugs now and then. They're slightly more resistant to slapping than your average Creatures, but are more vulnerable to injuries gained from illnesses.

Use whatever version you prefer; I've included a folder with (new) sprites if you're upgrading from the original Wood Norns.

This is an overhaul of the 2017 CFF genomes that I released some time ago. Some changes were based on my own observations and others on comments that I read here on Creaturescaves. In the zip file you'll find new Creatures 3 and Docking Station starter parents, as well as two folders that either let you replace the genomes of the 2017 egg agents, or the genomes of the original C3/DS Creature breeds. Changes are below:

*The following changes were made to improve survivability:
- Norns will now feel lonely less quickly. However, lonely Norns should now also be more likely to look out for one another.
- 2017 Creatures will now only eat what is complementary to their highest hunger drive. They'll require a somewhat more varied diet and will overeat less than the original CFF Creatures. Overall hunger gain has also been increased slightly for every single breed.
- Norns will now only dance under the influence of the Sex Drive chemical. In older genomes this used to be the Arousal Potential chemical; this caused (mostly female) Creatures to practically dance at all times, which made travelling really long. Now they'll only dance near potential partners.
- Libido Lowerer has a somewhat faster half-life now, which means that breeding these Creatures is easier now.
- Each breed now has the "Underwater panic gene": This gene increases up drive as long as the (terrestrial) Creature remains in water for some time. They'll either start wanting to use an elevator to get out of the water (In the C3 Aquarium or Norngarden 4 for instance), or they'll get out of the water to use an elevator. (C3 Norn Terrarium or C3 Desert.) This gene first appeared in my earlier Frost Norns.
- Additional instincts were added, like retreating from beasts when scared or drinking potions when feeling sick - which is indicated by feeling hot or cold sometimes. Other instincts were added to add more flavour to particular species. For example Grendels like to hit things and ChiChi Norns (and derivatives) are interested in gadgets.

*The following changes were made to improve crossbreeding between 2017 Creatures, mainly the mall breeds:
- Every single breed now has a progesterone half life of 56: this prevents all Treehugger Norn crossbreeds from getting stuck pregnancies where they don't make enough progesterone to lay an egg.
- The overwhelming fear drive organ no longer reduces hunger. This prevents Creatures that are easy to scare from starving all the time. (Mainly Hardman Norn crossbreeds.)

There were some other changes as well that I can't precisely recall. I think they were mostly CFF things that I put back after accidentally removing them from the 2017 genomes. :$

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about this, but you'll have to overwrite either the genomes of the original 2017 egg agents, or the genomes of the original Creatures 3 and Docking Station breeds.

A conversion of the 2017 CFF genome to the official Grendel breeds and the Ettin. As with the mall breeds, I tried to remain as true to their original behaviours and habits as much as I could. However, in these files the Creatures 3 Grendel and Ettin have the same reproductive systems as Norns.

Note: The zip file contains extra egg agent files. The ones in the "stand-in" folder use old genome files, (gren.final46g.gen.brain & ettn.final46e.gen.brain) while the 2017 egg agent files install new genomes. Remember that the original Banshee Grendels are required for these to show up properly in your game, and that Creatures 3 is required for the Ettin and vanilla Grendel.

This is the rest of the updated CFF 1.1 breeds. The only ones that needed a bit of extra attention were the Toxic Norns. Changes were made to reflect their new digestive systems, so diseases have slightly different benefits for them now. For all mall breeds I tried to remain as true to the original behaviour patterns as much as I could.

Remember that the correspondending mall breeds are required in order for these to show up properly in your game.

A conversion of the 2017 (CFF) genome to the original Creatures 3 Norn breeds, as well as the Magma Norns.

Also contains a pack of replacement genomes and Starter Parent files for Creatures 3 only. The Starter Parents are Bruin Norns.

This is an attempt to update the CFF 1.1 Creatures that were released some time ago. The CFF 1.1 genomes had some significant changes that really set them apart from the vanilla genomes that were released long ago. However, they still had a few bugs which could cause problems in the longer term.
- The amount of hunger the 2017 ChiChi gains is determined by the amounts of nutrients in their bodies. Glycogen for starch. Adipose tissue for fat & Muscle tissue for protein. In the half-live gene, each of these 3 chemicals decay naturally.
- So far most genomes had a receptor that attempted to measure how much muscle energy was used. However, this receptor was broken, leaving Creatures that were born from those genomes unable to store Muscle Tissue properly. The 2017 ChiChi has a different way to measure muscle activity and can store muscle tissue.
- Vanilla Creatures had a tendency to eat a lot of food and store a lot of adipose tissue. This caused problems for the CFF 1.1 Creatures that I've listed above. The 2017 ChiChi isn't as likely to prefer food as its' predecessors.

The zip file contains egg agents for the 2017 ChiChi Norn. If you like them you can also just replace your original ChiChi genetics files or use the (DS) starter parents. I'm not compelling you to use any. :)
